Community Weaver Feedback
Community Weaver 2.0 is being released into the wild! As we do, we’d love to hear your ideas for making this transition easier or for improvements and features
to consider for future version releases of Community Weaver.
We ask that you share please provide your name, nick names are ok ,when addressing the group and that we remain courteous to another and create a positive learning community.
If you’re looking for help, you may be able to find it yourself in our Help Guide. If not, you can reach the TimeBanks Tech Corps who are kindly providing volunteer tech support for free to TimeBanks Network members. Send us a message through the Help Desk and we’ll get back to you shortly.
You may not need to wait for future releases to see your suggestions become a reality. You have two avenues for customizing your own version of Community Weaver: 1) Drupal developers can hep customize your individual TimeBanks by requesting Site Admin level access, or 2) if you want help, why not get it from the development team that built Community Weaver 2.0? Geek Gene offers customization packages.

Better search method
Set up to allow search of time bank by state. I am interested in concept but not in searching 43 pages to see if there is one near me. If site is not well organized , then maybe concept is not well organized either.

Revise the layout of broadcast messages
Modify broadcast page to make it easier to follow
The suggestion
Have the subject and the message body at the top of the page.
Leave the old message there as default when you start, but accept the new message immediately (nothing that happens on the page brings the old message back).
Have the selectors and the resultant list below the message
Clicking "Apply" will not delete the contents of the message box nor return the old message to it
Have the whole list appear below the selectors.
Now the tick box at the top will select everyone that appears in… more1 vote -
Opensource Setup Instructions with interactive space
As of March 2012, we have a set of instructions for setting up opensource community weaver: http://actionhub.timebanks.org/installing-community-weaver-20-timebanking-tools
But I could not find any space in which to report errors and suggestions regarding these instructions
so far I have noticed:
- jquery tablesorter URL in step 2 is incorrect (could not find correct one)
- datesort module produces an error (step 2)
- step 7 talks about tar , but i found only "bzip2 -d" works (since it is a bz2 file)

respond offer want form subject
I found that when a user tries to respond to an offer or request a form is there, ready to be used to message the poster about your inquiry. The problem is that the subject field of the message is blank. It should be automatically populated with something like:
Re. your offer/want entitled "[advertisement title you already picked out when creating the offer/want]"
The name of the advertisement should also be a hyperlink to the ad so the message recipient can easily check the ad to refresh her memory. This way the recipient of the message will never have to… more

that offers and requests show the main AND sub category they were placed in.
Other than the Give & Receive tab, I never see the main and sub categories an offer or request is placed in. This would be helpful in all views of offers and requests.

Post instructions on how to make events public
Drupal is a very powerful platform, however, it isn't proving easy to manipulate for me. Among other things, I'm looking for a way to make events public (accessible to non-logged users). I see this page:
http://timebanks.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/48174-how-can-make-events-public-
However the link on it:
https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B24t6
Says:
Sorry, we are unable to retrieve the document for viewing or you don't have permission to view the document. Can this be updated with accessible instructions?

Creat new role "Assistant Site Admin" (originally proposed on the TBUSA Google Group and added here by popular demand to collect votes)

Subject: Proposal to Expand Site Admin RolesIt looks like CW2.1 may start development in January/February 2012.
This probably means we will not have it to test until sometime in the
spring at the earliest. The subsequent steps of testing, fixing,
documenting, and training could take another couple months. My guess is that the rollout of CW2.1 would not be until summer, some 6-7 months from now. Many TB’s are suffering now from the many… more

that Coordinators be given the option of receiving a notification email whenever someone posts a new Service Offer or Request.
I used to receive a notice when a new Offer or Request was posted. I used those notices to create a periodic update email that went out to all members. There is not a report or RSS feed that works because the date fields do not sort appropriately.

CW 2.0 should be accessible with assistive technology. Very concerned this is not an issue- considering that values of Timebanking.
Drupal itself can be accessible: http://drupal.org/about/accessibility

that Exchange History CSV files use the dates shown in the request rather than ALL timebank transactions.
When I run an Exchange History report and use date limits (for example, 12/01/2011 to 12/31/2011), the report appears correct in CW 2.0. However, when I export to a CSV, all exchange transactions in the history of the timebank show up in my spreadsheet. This requires a lot of deleting and time-wasting when I am running monthly statistics for my board. Can we somehow find a way to make the CSV report obey the date limits set in the original request?

User Guide Revision Information
We know the user guides are being updated as technical problem tickets are updated and as time permits. When we go to the guides to see what may have been updated, we have no idea where to begin and it is too time consuming to just review each page for changes since our last visit.
I suggest a list of revision dates be kept by (page number would be ideal, but there is no page number) guide and topic. This would allow us to go right to the changes since our last visit.
I just noticed the guides have been… more

Jill Turner, Occupy Wall Street Timebank offers space & time
As I continue to work on initiating the Timebank for Occupy Wall Street, the implications of exchanging work time for live/work space dawn on me. In some ideal way the Timebank assumes equality of time and space. People offer themselves in space and time and they are offered space and time – to sleep, to eat, to work, to play.
The world’s people are so precious. I was at the 30-year-old Bullet artist squat first floor Gallery on the East side last night. I watched a video about the Latino Umbrella squat on the lower east side and was struck… more

Delete users in "Awaiting Approval of Membership" box
In the Control Panel under "Users Awaiting Approval of their Membership" it would be helpful if there were an option to delete them. I have a number of users who signed up in CW1.0 whose accounts were transferred to CW2.0 but who have not completed the additional requirements for joining the timebank. Since for most of them it has been over a year since they created their online profile, I assume they will not be joining. I have tried to Block them, but they are still visible in the box. Does anyone have any idea how I can get rid… more

Does anybody else think it is creepy that coordinators can read messages between members?
According to the documentation at http://actionhub.timebanks.org/node/714, both Primary Coordinators and Coordinators can see messages between users. I'd like to hear how others feel about this.

Re-adding the CW1 additional profile/registration fields (w/ option for public or private) so we can collect req. background check data
In CW1 we could add additional fields to collect the required data for completing our mandatory background checks (full legal name, previous names held, date of birth). I can't find these options anywhere. Is seems unreasonable to require us to find a Drupple user to be our Admin, then making us disqualified from CW help, for simple changes that we used to have.

Fix links in private message email notifications.
When one members sends another member a private message through the site, the recipient gets an email notification. In order to reply to that message, they click the link in the email, but often those links do not work. When I tested it, I saw some that worked and some that didn't. But in the past week I've been getting more and more reports from members saying they links DO NOT work. This is very frustrating for members and should be pretty easy to fix.
Are others finding this problem too?
Can Geek Gene please tell us when you fix… more7 votes
